ABOUT

Hi, I'm Anthony.

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I believe that people are capable of change—even when life has convinced them otherwise.

My interest in this work didn't come from a textbook or was something I was just trying out for a career. It came from my own experiences with mental health and from seeing how deeply those struggles can affect the people we care about. Those experiences shaped the way I show up as a therapist: with curiosity, genuine care, and without judgment.

I earned my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University and have received additional training in working with people experiencing suicidal thoughts and those who respond to crises. While education is important, I believe that good therapy starts with something much simpler: two people building enough trust to have honest conversations.

When we work together, my first goal isn't to "fix" the problems. It's to understand you. Everyone has a unique experience, and I want to know what life has been like from your perspective before we decide where to go from there. Together, we'll look at what's keeping you stuck, what's already working, and what changes feel meaningful to you—not what someone else thinks your life should look like.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside people as they've worked through trauma, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, relationship struggles, and major life transitions. One of the most rewarding parts of this work is watching people begin to see themselves differently, strengthen their relationships, and create lives that feel more meaningful.

I use approaches that are backed by research, but I don't expect you to know therapy terminology—or care about it. My job is to find what fits you. I draw from several different approaches because no two people are the same, and effective therapy is not a one-size-fits-all.

If you've made it this far, thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. Finding the right therapist is an important decision, and whether you choose to work with me or someone else, I sincerely hope you find a person who makes you feel heard, understood, and supported. It takes strength to ask for help.

Other things about me, I'm a proud son, husband and father. I'm from a small town in Washington called Montesano. I love sports and the many life lessons that can be taught through them. Spending time with those close to me is something I try to do often and I enjoy getting to know new people.
